To meet increasing bandwidth requirements and escalating demand for improved security and overall information integrity, the steel tape armored shipboard cable is designed for reliable data transmission in advanced mission-critical communication applications. 

Due to the particularity of the ship’s environment, the cable features low toxicity, low smoke, zero halogen, low acid gas, flame retardant, extreme operating temperature and storage temperature, and anti-rate bite. 

The cable consists of tight-buffered optical fiber, aramid strength element, inner sheath, steel tape wrapping and low smoke, zero halogen (LSZH) flame-retardant polyolefin outer sheath. 

The dual steel armored structure guarantees the cable enough crush resistance and the high strength aramid strength member endows the cable long-term stable optical fiber transmission.

Applications

The cable can be used under the following situations:

● Signal transmission of ship’s optical fiber network electronic equipment

● Submarine communication system

The cable complies with standard GJB 1428B-2009.
